For insurance inspection the client required a vacuum pump and compressor package to remove VCM vapours from empty storage spheres so that an insurance examination of the spheres could take place.
A design was produced in cooperation with a suitable vacuum pump manufacturer and control system developer and the finished skid was delivered to site for commissioning.
The pump package removed the vapour from one sphere and compressed it into a second sphere to avoid any loss to the environment.
A customer installed a dust extraction system which proved to be oversized for the application.
Our investigation resulted in a revised design based upon calculation of the required air flow rate to give the correct air velocity for successful conveyance of the dust whilst reducing the noise levels of the extraction system.
The client required an innovative solution for a coating process, where vacuum is used to draw the coating material through the honeycomb structure of catalytic converters.
Previously specified liquid ring pumps were replaced with large dry screw vacuum pumps, providing a more energy efficient option without creation of large amounts of contaminated process seal water.
