Industrial vacuum applications fall into one of three categories;
1) Those which require an Absolute pressure to change the state or condition of the process product
e.g Distillation, drying or preservation (food packaging) etc.
2) Those which use a Differential pressure to produce a force to do work
e.g Vacuum holding, lifting and clamping etc.
3) Those that use vacuum to create a flow of gas or vapour through a pipe system
e.g Conveying or carrying, drying etc.
We begin each new enquiry by determining which of the three basic categories, listed above, represents the process. Next we consider the nature of the process gas or vapour before selecting the most appropriate vacuum pump type. Then we design the system around the pumps with instruments and controls which when combined together deliver the process performance according to the client specification.
